Telephone Campaign 2020
Last year’s campaign was an unusual one. Originally planned to take place in the spring of 2020, our annual in-person telephone campaign was forcibly postponed in March of that year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Rescheduled for 7-12 December 2020, the campaign went virtual, with a fantastic team of thirteen student callers who contacted Clare alumni all over the world from their homes or rooms in College. Despite the huge challenges this posed, a total of over £200,000 was raised to support the COVID-19 Emergency Fund, the renovation works in Old Court, bursaries, studentships and much more. A large proportion of this total was made up of small single or regular donations, proving that every gift the College receives, no matter the amount, adds up to make a significant difference to the lives of Clare students and the College community.
Our callers would like to thank each and every one of our alumni who took the time to speak to them and, in so many cases, to make a gift. Your generosity is hugely appreciated.
