As the National Railway Museum is approaching its 50th birthday and the 200th anniversary of the world's first passenger railway, it's an exciting time to be celebrating the past, present and future of railways. In this talk Charlotte Kingston will explore a bit of the history of NRM, why it was founded and the journey the museum has been on for the past five decades before looking ahead to our plans to transform our site, tell new stories and inspire a generation of engineers, thinkers and creators.
